PROTECT Board of Trustees Opposed Legalization of Marijunana

The Board of PROTECT-Piqua opposes the legalization and commercialization of marijuana for recreational purposes. 

The purpose of the PROTECT Board is to provide an organized forum for mutually advantageous communication between City of Piqua Police Department and Piqua Community members regarding Drug-Free Piqua and related PROTECT-Piqua crime prevention programs for the safety of the community.


In carrying out the duties, the Board of Trustees shall seek to identify the community needs of the City of Piqua, develop program plans, determine funding needs, set program priorities, and implement plans to address those issues. At all times, the Board of Trustees should seek to keep the community informed of its activities, develop an information system which provides valid and reliable information for such publicity.
