PROTECT: Workplace

Partnering with Piqua PD for PROTECT—Workplace includes:

· Adoption of Run-Hide-Fight concept for Active Shooter incidents, trained by PPD
· Active multidisciplinary threat assessment team
· Designated liaison with PPD crime tips system
· Regularly updated emergency plan with PPD participation in planning
· Exercise lockdown and active shooter responses, to include contact sharing
· Coordination of drug abuse prevention and enforcement with PPD
· Coordination of traffic safety education and specific issues with PPD
· Armed employee policy developed confidentially with PPD

Identify a smaller area that you and your neighbors consider "your" neighborhood and make this your Next Door Watch Sign-up for Nextdoor at https://nextdoor.com Match-up nextdoor.com neighbors with those that don't have internet access to keep them in the loop Make your Nextdoor Neighborhood into whatever your neighborhood needs. Sign-up for the Miami County Emergency Notification System at miamicounty911.com Help the non-social media neighbors do this with their land-line telephone. Flyer your neighborhood with materials from the police department, neighborhood association, or other sources known to be credible to increase involvement and engagement.  Check out things downloaded from email threads or social media sites before spreading them further.
