Partnering with the Piqua Police Department for PROTECT: Schools includes the following:

  • Adoption of Run-Hide-Fight concept for active shooter incidents, trained by Piqua PD
  • Active multidisciplinary threat assessment team
  • Designated liaison with PPD and Piqua Crime Stoppers Submit-A-Tip
  • Regularly updated emergency plan with PPD participation in planning
  • Exercise lockdown and active shooter responses, to include contact sharing
  • Coordination of drug abuse prevention education with PPD
  • Coordination of traffic safety education and specific issues with PPD
  • Armed school employee protocol developed confidentially with PPD

Identify a smaller area that you and your neighbors consider "your" neighborhood and make this your Next Door Watch Sign-up for Nextdoor at https://nextdoor.com Match-up nextdoor.com neighbors with those that don't have internet access to keep them in the loop Make your Nextdoor Neighborhood into whatever your neighborhood needs.
